The first thing you'll want to do after joining Sittercity is to post a job. Yes, you may choose to search for caregivers and contact those who meet your approval. But, an even better way to find a sitter is to have them come to you. (Counterintuitive? Maybe, but it works!)

To do this, you need to log in to your My Sittercity dashboard -- remember, your password is case-sensitive -- and click one of your care type tabs at the top of the screen, depending on what kind of caregiver you're looking for. From there, locate the Post a Job module and enter a job title to get started. You'll then fill out all of the information you have about a job and post it to the site. (We'll email your job to local caregivers to help give you more visibility.)

If you'd like to search through the caregivers, you can click any of the tabs at the top of the screen and then locate the Find Care Providers module, which will allow you to conduct a basic search. If you've got a much clearer idea of the type of caregiver you're looking for (CPR-certified, nonsmoker who can cook and speak Bengali), you can conduct a detailed search using the filters on the search results page.
