I am a Nanny by choice. Prior to that, I ran a day care from my home. I have been
caring for children for most of my working career. I had office type jobs until
child care became next to impossible to find after I had my third child. I
decided I wanted to start a daycare that met the needs of larger families
having the same issues that I was running into. I knew that I wanted to provide
a high level of care because I felt that was what working families needed, not
just a place to warehouse their kids. I took the approach that nothing was more
important in my business than the children I cared for. I always reinvested
profits from the business back into improvements and upgrades that made the day
care more enjoyable and enriching for the children that came there. When I moved to San Diego, I decided to become a Nanny. I carried my philosophy of putting children first
into my Nannying style, while still making myself adaptable to each family’s
individual dynamic. I richly value the feeling that comes from being a part of
each family I have nannied for.

Most of my nanny assignments have been with single infants or toddlers, though I have also
nannied siblings. My favorite thing to do with the children I care for is to be
active and engaged with them. I take great pride in helping in their growth and development. I love cuddling, singing to, dancing, being silly and playing with children of all ages. I enjoy
reading to them, taking them to the park, walks, outings, etc. I want to be
involved with the children I care for and having lots of fun with them, not
setting them in front of the TV or in a crib. I also have preschool teaching
experience so learning is a priority with me as well. I am very accomplished at
preparing nutritious and healthy meals based on a family’s eating preferences.
