I have been babysitting since my early teens, but the majority of my experience has come from the past year. I am currently working as a part time teacher at a daycare for children between the ages of 3 months and 3 years. I have the most experience caring for children in the aforementioned age range, but I am comfortable caring for children of all ages. The daycare can have up to 12 children at once, which has given me the opportuniy to care for multiples on many occasions. During a typical day at the daycare, I would spend my time reading books, singing, dancing, leading art projects, and teachering letters, numbers, animals, and shapes. I often teach in both English and French because I am fluent in both languages and we have several French children at the daycare. Although I love my current job, I am looking for more hours. I am seeking a full time nanny position in 2013.

I have experience babysitting one child at a time as well as multiples. My parents have a dog and I have a cat, so I am very comfortable with animals. When babysitting, I consider it my responsibilty to step in for all household responsibilites that need attending to while I am there. I am more than happy to cook and do light housework while working for a family.

I spent several months volunteering at an afterschool porgram for children with physical and mental handicaps while I was in high school, which made me very comfortable caring for children with special needs.
