For the past 11 years I have been lucky to find work as a nanny. Over the eleven years I have nannied for children as young as newborn and as old as 14+ years. For the past 6 years I have been lucky to have nannied for one family. The past 6 years have been a joy and would not give them up for anything. The children (who are now 6,8,&9) however, are in school full-time and do not need my help as much as before. The family now needs help only in the afternoons and am looking to supplement the hours I will be losing.
Working with children is one of the most rewarding occupations one can have, am I find myself lucky to have been able to continue to find work in this field. As well as being a nanny, I have taught in a montessori classroom, been a camp counselor for years, and am currently work on a degree in child psychology.
