I am a 27 year old college graduate. I currently work full time during the week as a nanny for two different families. I am comfortable with cats, dogs, big and small. I volunteer at animal shelters and used to work at a kennel in college, so I am Pet friendly. I feel most comfortable with infants and toddlers but I love kids of all ages. My long term goal is to open up a family home daycare in a couple of years. My nanny philosophy is anything the parents need me to do and how they want me to do it, I absolutely follow. I understand that there are many parenting styles.My goal is to come into your home and act like both family and your employee. When I care for infants, I try to provide a stimulating environment for them by interacting through conversation and hands on play through toys. When I am with a family's child/ children, I like to establish a consistent schedule especially with toddlers. I enjoy structure but I am not a very serious person! I like to encourage please and thank yous and good manners but I understand that being a toddler or a small kid is about exploring boundaries and the occassional or perhaps reoccuring tantrums. I never take meltdowns personally! I enjoy age appropriate arts and crafts with toddlers and kids, pretend play and outdoor play. Im high energy, patient and do pretty well with multi tasking. Most of my free time is spent renovating my victorian home but when I do have free time I coupon, enjoy the outdoors and love spending time with family and friends. English is my first language and I have basic French language skills from high school and college. I am very interested in learning basic Spanish. For infants I am very comfortable with baby sign language!
