Hi! My name is Elise Nicholls. I graduated from West Chester University with a degree in Early Childhood Education in May of 2010. I am certified to teach children from birth to age 8. My degree has provided me with strong knowledge about child development which enhances my ability to care for children. For the 2011-2012 school year, I worked full time as a head start teacher, a first grade teacher, and a kindergarten teacher in the School District of Philadelphia. I have had many years of experience babysitting, I worked for two years a day care center nearby, and I worked as an au pair full time in Paris for two months. While working at the day care center, I cared for children between six weeks and six years old. For a summer, I worked as a nanny for a Spanish speaking family with a child with severe food allergies. Over the past 7 months, I was employed as a nanny for a newborn and a 4 year old. I have outstanding references from parents and supervisors in my district. I will be moving to the Wilmington area long term and I will be available as needed. Elise has served as nanny of our newborn and four-year-old since last year. We are heartbroken to see her move away! We always felt lucky to have found her; she is wonderful. Not only is Elise extremely dependable, punctual and professional, she is also kind, flexible and good-natured. Both our son and daughter love her and want to be with her, and that's likely because she gives them her complete attention. Elise is amazing with kids. My girls are usually not comfortable around new people but they loved Elise from the minute she stepped in our door. Unfortunately she was unable to work with us as long as we had hoped but I highly recommend her to anyone in the future. She worked into our routine perfectly which is tough to do with a 5 and 3 year old as well as a 3 month old. She bonded with all 3 children very quickly. - Megan F.
