I began babysitting eight years ago. Growing up I was surrounded by younger siblings and cousins who I frequently watched and cared for. Since then, I have had four babysitting jobs and have acquired a much better understanding of what young children have need of in terms of attention, care and just a friend to play with and talk to. From my experience, I have also had a diversity of responsibilities such as driving the children to and/or from school, laundry, easy cooking, housecleaning and care for pets. Because my former jobs where primarily with multiple children, I have a lot of experience taking care of many children at one time. I have also cared for children of various ages, from infants to 13 years old. Moreover, I have experience with a special needs child who I currently still babysit. Beyond that, I have given care to children that are sick, as well as children that were suffering emotionally.
I love babies and children, and although caring for them can be challenging at times, it is still fascinating watching them grow and learn, and fulfilling to be part of that process. Their innocence and joy is precious, and they are so entertaining.
