Hey there! My name is Jamie and I'd love to tell you a bit about myself. I graduated from Georgia State University in 2011 with a B.A. in Sociology. Eventually, I plan on going back go school for a Master's degree. However, at the moment I am just enjoying life with my fiancee and our two small dogs, "Tank" and "Bernice".

Before graduating from Georgia State University I attended the Art Institute of Atlanta while working at a jewelry store in the Virginia Highlands. The creative education I received there came in handy when I would lead jewelry-making classes for children of all ages at the shop. Additionally, I worked for the Atlanta based agency "Dream Friends", which provides various children entertainment options. While employed as a children's entertainer, I learned how to make balloon animals, face paint and set up kid friendly games and activities. While at Dream Friends, I performed as the Easter Bunny, Mickey Mouse, a clown, and SpongeBob.

I truly enjoy working with children as their imaginative outlook on life both intrigues and inspires me. I understand and appreciate how critical the upbringing of children can be. I believe it is imperative to nurture their growing interests daily. During  breaks from college, I spent many hours babysitting and nannying for children ages 6 months to eleven yeas. I am a very energetic caregiver and have years of experience with children. I do not believe in yelling or harshly punishing children. Instead I practice teaching them through encouragement and positivity. I would love to work for a family where my experience and desire to provide children with positive, nurturing interaction could be best used to develop their potential and make every day exciting!
