My name is Carolyn McGuire, and I have a keen interest in taking care of your children while helping them to grow and to expand their knowledge and interests. I was fortunate enough to have excellent babysitters as a child. Now as a sitter myself, I am aware of the favorable effects of having a positive role model and care-taker to supplement the parents’ care of a child in a household.  I have been babysitting since I was 13 and have worked various jobs throughout the years, from owning my own business at the age of 5, called Carolyn's Greeting Cards, to waiting tables to support myself through college.  As a babysitter, I have watched over boys and girls as young as 3 months and as old as 12. I have basic first aid knowledge and a background with children experiencing learning and physical challenges.

I love the outdoors and can teach your kids about nature and our role in the conservation of the environment. I love cooking with a gourmet and healthy touch, and can help your kids plant herbs such as rosemary and basil in your yard (or in pots) so they too can develop a love of good food and how nature provides for us.   I am a currently a student at Georgia State University majoring in anthropology. My studies in anthropology allow me to communicate effectively with adults and children of various backgrounds. Along with my studies in anthropology, I am currently studying Spanish and philosophy, and have been a violinist for the past 13 years. I am also in the process of reviving my childhood greeting card business, updating it by utilizing my photography as opposed to drawing and watercolors (as I had previously). I hope to share my background with children, exposing them to diverse cultures, food, art, and music. Additionally, the social skills I have developed from babysitting and nannying, as well as the time management and organizational skills I have developed in school, make me the ideal candidate to watch over your kids.

Currently, I am seeking babysitting jobs during weekends or weekday nights.
