I have had many fulfilling experiences as a Special Education Teacher. This passion for teaching has evolved from my role as a camp director as well as a camp counselor. Then, I worked in New York as a teacher and I received Teacher of the Year for Brooklyn, New York. Now, I am currently employed as a certified teacher for Chicago Public Schools. In this position, I have had the opportunity to incorporate a reading program titled "Sit Stay Read." This literacy organization uses dogs as a tool to improve reading skills and inspires children to become lifelong readers. Also, I have received science awards for the past three years. This is a reflection of my dedication to working with children.
