Hello!  I am a middle school science teacher looking for part-time childcare opportunities during my summer off.

I babysat frequently for friends and family during my college years, and I really love working with kids.  Most of my sitting experience is with newborns, infants, and toddlers, but I have also tutored or taught children from fifth grade all the way through high school seniors.

I love to do hands-on activities, such as arts and crafts, and being a teacher, I love to read with kids and get them thinking.  I am patient and caring, but I also value good manners, so I try to impart those values on the children I work with as well.  I also love animals, especially dogs.  In my spare time I love to listen to music, cook and bake, watch movies, go for walks, and watch sports-especially Bears and Bulls games :)

P.S.  Illinois State Law requires teachers to have background checks before they can be cleared for placement in schools.  I figured I would save myself the money in paying for one for use on this website,  since I've already had one.  I just felt that might be relevant and save some prospective parents the fee as well :)
