Caring for children has been a part of my life since I was 12 years old. I have a B.S. in Family Social Services, with 2 years of early childhood education. As a teen, babysitting was my favorite job. After college, I cared for children who were ward of the state and had emotional issues. As a young mother, I provided home daycare, so I could remain home with my children, while also assisting families with their child care so they did not have to resort to a facility. When my children got a bit older, I assisted a local church in acquiring a long wished for, preschool. After ten months of building and supplying, the doors were opened. I was fortunate enough to not only be director, but also head teacher. This was 18 years ago, and this preschool is still prospering today. As a church member, I help out when I can with the young children, and older children. I have been a 4-H leader for 6 years. Despite the fact that I have been an office manager for the past ten years while also running a small landscape business, my passion for children only grows. My children are grown now, and I work part time as administrative assistant for a local church, and that has finally allowed me to have time free to go back to child care. I have missed the creative art projects and story time, that cause the wonderful smiles on the little ones faces! I am ready and eager to provide child care to children from infancy to elementary ages.
