Dominique M. Nanny in Mandeville, LA 70471. Looking for work as a live out nanny.

Growing up in a Christian family of 5 there were always lots of children in and around our house.  I guess being around kids so much growing up, I developed a love for being a “mom” at an early age.  I was the second to youngest in the family so I often cared for my youngest sister.  I also began babysitting other kids in our neighborhood when I was 13 and continued this throughout high school.  Once in college at LSU I became a live out nanny to a professors family of  2 boys and 1 girl (ages newborn, 3, and 6).  It was definitely a busy job but I loved the kids so I continued to work for this family all 4 years of school.   

Since graduation from LSU with a degree in Business (minors in English, Sociology, and Communications) I began working in sales for a home development company for 2 years.  My husband and I then left to do mission work overseas for 1 year.  Upon returning to my hometown of Mandeville I began volunteering at the Covington Crisis Pregnancy Center and helping care for my older sisters 2 girls (ages 4 and 5).    

My husband and I have been married for 4 years.  He is a CPA currently working at KPMG accounting firm in New Orleans. He works plenty of hours (especially during busy season) and I am left with lots of extra time on my hands.  In July we had our first child, Micah.  He has been a complete blessing to our lives.  I am now a full time stay at home mom and hope to keep it that way.  I have a desire and ability to help other working moms who need quality childcare for their child(ren) during the week.  I know entrusting your most precious possession to a complete stranger can be a scary thought but I am confident that I can offer your child the best care possible in a Christian home environment.  I can come to you or you can come to me!

My parenting philosophy is using common sense.  We do not sit in front of a TV all day and prefer to stay active with reading, strolls, cooking healthy, singing and playtime with toys.  It would be ideal to have children close in age so that activities would be appropriate for both.   However, that is not a requirement. I do also want to note that I have two small white multipoo puppies. They are wonderful with kids.   My days and hours are very flexible.
