Currently, I am a teacher and counselor in an elementary aged before and after school program. I work 1:1 with young students who have behavioral problems and learning disabilities (as well as "typical" students). Additionally, I spent over a year working as a Residential Counselor and Case Manager at Dover Children's Home, a residential treatment facility for teenagers with behavioral problems and/or developmental disabilities. I specialized in behavior management, and have extensive experience with crisis intervention tactics. I love working with children, and find that my positive disposition and warm regard lend themselves to being well liked by them in return. I also have experience creating and implementing fun and educational learning projects for children in my care. I believe that positive reinforcement and good role modeling are the major keys in fostering a child's emotional, physical and educational growth.
