I have a degree in Elementary Education with continuing education credits in Early Childhood Development. I have six and a half years of nanny experience and worked with infants/toddlers to high school students throughout my 12
years of teaching/care-giving. I was hired to develop curriculum for babies through 3rd graders, which was a pleasure, for the Creative Movement and Arts Center. I taught Outdoor Education; rock-climbing, hiking, mountain biking, Kayaking. I play the saxophone. I swam U. S. Swimming.
My hobbies include acting in major motion pictures and casting other actors for pictures shot locally here in Boston. The best work I have done has always been with children.
I worked with a boy who had autism. Both his school and his therapist agreed that since I arrived he improved
dramatically in his ability to engage with his peers! Music was the key. I brought 5 instruments over to the house and sang nearly every action with him - good secret. :)
I am a dedicated professional who was brought up by a family with core values and principles. My parents did not skip the lesson in the book of child-rearing that demanded an impeccable work ethic. I have an immense passion for knowledge that delves deeply into the Sciences, Arts, etc. This kind of passion brings about many teachable moments. I place strong emphasis on intrinsic motivation as a driving force for learning and instill this value upon the friends I make through my work.
