Caitlin H. Nanny in Baltimore, MD 21223. Looking for work as a live out nanny.

Hello!  My name is Caitlin.  Free time is spent discovering new outside areas to explore with my dog sidekick, joining volunteer and outreach programs, reading fantastic books, or trying out recipies with as many local ingredients as possible.

I also absolutely adore hanging out with children (and animals!), and have had experience with all ages.  I have been a nanny to three lovely families in the Portland area (with children aged 5 months, 8 months, 15 months, 2.5 years and 4 years).  Additionally, I have previous experience as a live-in nanny in England for a family with a darling 1 year old girl and dashing 4 year old boy (along with one very michievious labrador).  

I currently work for an after-school program, teaching science to K-8 students in a classroom setting througout Howard and Montgomery County.  If interested, I would be thrilled to show your child fun and educational science projects (including some of my favorites:  contructing/programming Lego robotics, making recycled paper from household items, and learning about marine life).  These projects can be adapted to cater to both younger and older children.

I've even spent summers working as a camp counselor and had cabins full of a dozen 12 year old girls to myself, so by now I feel equipped to handle just about anything.  Aside from all that, I have 10+ years of babysitting history (with children from age 5 months to 12 years) and will be able to provide heaps upon heaps of references.

If you have school age children, I would be more than happy to help with school work.  I have 8+ years of experience tutoring.  At Columbia University, I spent 2 years working with an after-school program for underpriveleged K-5 students.  We created lesson plans, helped with homework, and organized educational (..but fun!) field trips throughout the city.  My favorite activities would have to be reading and art projects - something I would also love to share with your kids.
