Hello families!
I am a mature and very experienced nanny looking for an awesome family as well to provide loving, competent, excellent care for and enrich their children's whole being.
I delight in taking care of children and am looking for a full-time position (40-60 hours a week) and I also am able to do pet-care, light basic housekeeping, and the children's laundry included in my regular rate. I would also be happy to do meal preparation for family and regular housekeeping for an additional fee.
For the past ten years now, I have worked in caring for children and I am experienced with all ages from newborn to teen. I am very kind, patient, nurturing, energetic, creative, and fun-loving. I am also very punctual, reliable, and am able to communicate well with parents to ensure the best care for their children.
I possess a college education in psychology and have training in early childhood development and curriculum methods. I love to provide an educational, happy, fun-filled, well-structured day for the children I care for. I am very nurturing and loving, but can effectively discipline if needed. I find the best discipline is keeping the children well-structured and engaged. Boredom, for children, is the villain to avoid!
Activities I like to do with children :
Creative art projects Imaginary play
Active outdoor play/Sports Swimming
Playgrounds Sandbox
Tummy Time Baby/Kid Yoga
Cooking/Baking Play wrestling/Tumbling
I also read EVERY DAY to the kids and work on developmental appropriate skills likes numbers/counting, shapes, colors, opposites, etc. With my most recent child, we were learning sign language, Spanish, and Chinese together from books, computer, and videos. I prefer to keep digital entertainment to a minimum, but do like the use of the computer or DVDs to help us learn.
I also love to go on outings with children. I would go to the library every week with my most recent child. We went to Port Discovery, Science Center, Zoo, Aquarium, Art Museums, Barnes and Nobles, Mall to look around and have lunch, scoped out numerous playgrounds, Story times at the library. I am always looking for great things to do for fun and enrichment.
I am the type to go out of my way for the children to provide for their needs. I get out library books, CDs, and videos for them on my account and have purchased some arts and crafts at my expense occasionally. I am a teacher and endless learner at heart!
Please contact me if interested and I will send you my resume and references.
Hope to hear from awesome, wonderful families soon! Thanks for considering!
Upon my nanny quitting on Saturday, I called Kristen and she was at my house that night for an interview. Even during our interview, she instinctively got up to protect my daughter. Safety is her number one concern. It is scary to leap to a new provider in just one day, but we clearly made the BEST decision. In the three short days that she has been here, she has taken my daughter on long walks, engaged her in lots of activities, went to the library and read her some great books. The one day that I would not have seen my daughter all day, Kristen found my school and brought her to see me. Kristen was eager to learn some new skills (like cloth diapering) and she did extra things like make my daughter food when she did not want to eat what I left. She was always punctual, full of integrity and clearly loves taking care of children. We just needed someone for two weeks, as I am about to go part-time in my job. Kristen is currently seeking a full-time position. My husband and I recommend her highly. - Elaine D.
Kristen says: Elaine and Ed are great people to work for. Thanks so much!

Kristen did an amazing job with my 12-month old twins when we needed to hire someone on short notice. SInce they had never been watched by anyone outside the family, we were a bit nervous, but she immediately put us at ease with her professionalism and her demeanor with the kids. They took to her right away, and loved her homemade apple sauce!!! Aidan even cried when she left the first day!! Thank you, Kristen! - Kerry B.
Kristen says: Hi Kerry, I just checked my profile and saw your review! Thanks so much for it!. I hope all is well and the kids are doing great! Best to you and your family! Thanks again, Kristen
