I am a very reliable and responsible person in every aspect of my life. I recently graduated from Salisbury University with high honors. I have been baby-sitting on and off since I was 13 years old. In high school, I earned my 90 hour child care certificate, which allows me to work as a senior staff teacher at any child care center. While in high school I earned credits by working in a laboratory preschool for 3-year-olds for two years. In my senior year, I spent 20 hours a week from August to February as a kindergarten intern for a classroom of 20 students. I also worked individually with an autistic child. In my sophomore year of college, I worked at Fun Shine Early Learning Center. Since I was a college student and my hours were weird, I worked with all age groups. Some days I would have a room of 10 plus 4-year-olds for eight hours by myself. I created a healthy, fun environment and planned crafts and educational projects for the children. Some days I was in charge of six toddlers and worked with them on gross and fine motor skills. Other days I was in charge of three infants for five-eight hours at a time. I love working with children and plan to become a teacher one day.
