Prior to my current position as parapro (asst teacher) for Dearborn Public Schools, I had a house cleaning business that gave me the opportunity to meet some wonderful couples just starting their families. I was able to develop a relationship with them and began not only cleaning but being nanny as well and even travelling with them.
Once my daughter was born I began as a sub, working in all grade levels, in special needs and regular ed classrooms. I now work in an at-risk ESL Pre-K classroom with 3-5 yr olds. I am just finishing my 11th year and love my job! We have an a.m. and p.m. class of 16 each.
Working in the program requires I have a CDA--Child Development Associate certification. I am also currently babysitting on an occasional but regular basis for several families and would be happy to provide those references.

My nanny experience was before I had my own daughter who is now 15! My work as a nanny included time with the children at home as well as outings and travel with the families.
