Hello! My name is Ellie McIvor. I just graduated from the University of Michigan with a dual degree in theater and English literature. Before leaving for college I was a nanny and babysitter for many families in my home town and would love to find the same joy and fulfillment that I got from caring for those families here in Ann Arbor. Right now, I am most interested in finding a nannying position for summer/fall 2011 but would be equally interested in getting to know families for occasional babysitting opportunities. I have over eight years of experience babysitting all age levels and have worked at an in home daycare learning how to work with many different personalities and ages at once. I have tutored both individually and in a domestic violence shelter for spanish speaking children. I spent the last semester doing theater with a group of autistic young boys and learned a lot about the spectrum disorder and have a strong interest in developing games and activities to meet the vast variety of minds our there. I have a lot of energy and hope to find an active family- whether it be mentally or physically. I love craft projects, putting on plays, music, reading, dancing and being outdoors- playing sports, hiking, biking, swimming, and general exploring.
