Renae P. Nanny in Austin, MN 55912. Looking for work as a live out nanny.

Hi!  I'm Renae and I'm glad to meet you!  I am 41 years old and have been married for 21 years.  I have also lived in Austin for the past 21 years.  I am the mother of 5 children.  I have a 20 year old daughter, an 18 year old son, a 16 year old son who has autism, a 14 year old daughter who has a developemental disorder, and a 12 year old son.   I was very privileged to be able to stay home with my children while they were young.  I empathize so deeply with parents who have no choice but to work and leave their children with others during the day.  I respect the trust that you place in me to care for your children and would never betray it. I have learned an incredible amount of patience from years of raising children with special needs.  I've also had some really dumb dogs that have further increased my patience!  

Aside from 20 years experience raising my own children, I have been a daycare provider for a total of 4 years.  I started 12 years ago before my 5th child was born.  I cared for a newborn and a 5 year old for almost a year.  After my son was born, I stopped to take care of him.  I currently care for a 4 year old and 1 1/2 year old brother and sister.  I have cared for them for the past 3 1/2 years.  However, the hours are dwindling down and my cake decorating hours at Walmart are being cut also.  This has left me with the painful decision of trying to find a full time daycare job during the weekdays.  It is painful because I have been with this family for so long but my husband and family need me in the evenings and on the weekends.  We also want to get back into church on Sundays.

I am comfortable with any aged child but, prefering daytime hours, that would limit ages to the preschool years.  I can care for special needs children and will do light house cleaning, driving, cooking....your basic mommy work.  I understand that nothing is guaranteed but I am looking for a long term situation (at least a year or two) so that I can feel comfortable quitting my other jobs in order to take it.  I am a very loyal and accomodating worker.  Just ask my current employers!
