Hi, My name is Nikki. I am a college student majoring in pediatric nursing. I also spent several years studying early childhood education and child psychology. I have grown up around children and from young on have taken pride in caring for children while they are having fun and learning at the same time. I have worked in childcare centers, preschools, as a summer camp counselor, soccer instructor, recently as a nanny, and mostly as a babysitter. I’ve had the privilege of working closely and frequently with four families in particular over the past eight years as their families have grown from 2 to 3 to 4 or 5 children. I have been part of each of their children’s lives from the month, week, or in a few cases, day that these children were born. Over the years I have cared for many newborns (from age two weeks) and continued to care for them weekly as they grew into infants, became self-sufficient toddlers, went off to pre-school, kindergarten, and are now thriving in elementary and middle school. One summer I had an amazing opportunity to nanny full-time for a family with four children ages 1,2,4, and 6. It was one of the biggest adventures of my life and I am thankful for every minute of it. For two years after that I was a full time live0in nanny for a family of three, one who was severely physically disabled. I absolutely adore children. I am trained to work with children specifically from birth through kindergarten. I have been trained through accredited college courses, American Red Cross in Infant and Child first aid, CPR, and taken professional babysitting classes. I am also a certified nursing assistant and home health aid. My main priority is making sure your child is safe and happy and also learning in whatever age appropriate opportunities are possible.
