I love the energy children have and I love being a positive influence on their growing years! In my past nanny positions, I learned to be quite the nurturer as well as a good listener and motivator, all the while keeping a sense of humor, providing boundaries and keeping an open-mind. Some of the skills I used required patience and accuracy, making plans, working on a time schedule, developing new ideas or concepts, making quick decisions, and caring for the children under all circumstances.

I have the most experience working with infants (my favorite age) and can provide excellent references. I understand how difficult it can be to leave children with a new person and so I find it essential to establish and maintain a strong relationship with the parents. I believe children are able to succeed when given a loving environment that provides consistency, patience and healthy amounts of structure.

I have also had experience serving and caring for children of different ages and abilities, including individuals with disabilities and behavioral issues. In the past I have worked as a tutor for elementary students struggling with reading comprehension with the America Reads Program. I have also been an assistant to a first-grade classroom as well as completing two internships at Families Moving Forward and a counseling center.

I like to help children use creativity by imaginative play and the integration of new experiences.
