I am an experienced Nanny with a teachers heart and a great sense of humor.  I have a degree in Early Childhood Education/Psychology. I obtained my degree in Rhode Island where I grew up.  I have been in NYC for almost ten years.  I am a former Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner. After my husband and I got married, we decided that I would be able to leave that position and move forward to follow my passion to work in a one-on-one setting, with children of families who are better able to support their children's needs in a stable, safe, and loving internment. I enjoy becoming part of the family, and appreciate open communication on both ends. Even more importantly, I share love. I support parents decisions about schedules and structure, feeding, education, and the arts. I am always informed about the latest classes and events in the community, or about new educational and fun toys and products available. Aside from simply caring for children, we have FUN!!! I love to sing and dance together, and laugh, laugh, laugh!

Fostering a child's love of learning and expression is an extremely rewarding experience, and each different child is a new opportunity to laugh, create, and grow. As your child's Nanny, I will provide an environment that promotes safety, love, and the ability to thrive. It is always enjoyable to engage, encourage, educate, paint, bake, story tell, sing, dance, play, and imagine while encouraging decision making, self-discovery, and development through active learning. I will assist with potty-training, laundry, and light cooking.

Beginning work as a Nanny with a new little one, is very rewarding. The bond established between myself, the baby, and the parents creates an environment of love and trust. Most challenging is sorting through some parents confusion about the child-rearing style they are considering. I am able to offer information through my experience, although the final decision is up to Mom. It is beautiful when the family is in-tune with the baby, and makes the best decision for everyone, and I am there to witness it! Most rewarding is being a part of the family's team, and growing, discovering, and celebrating every milestone and accomplishment!!!

LET'S DO THIS TOGETHER!!!

2 stars

While she seemed nice on the phone, when we met her in person for an interview, we were shocked at some of her behavior and lack of professionalism. She arrived 15 minutes late without a resume. She sat down on our couch and put her feet on it (lounging). She does not seem like she is willing to put the extra mile in around the house regarding light cleaning for the baby. After deciding not to hire her for the job, I wrote her a nice message. Rather than be gracious and professional, she decided to insult my character and parenting style stating, " I only work for confident intuitive moms". Just a word of warning, if you think she seeice initially, beware that her true personality comes out when things don't go her way. - Lauren C.
