I have been caring for children for over 20 years. I am experienced with tending to children myself and to being with a stay at home mom. I have done everything involved with childcare from the basics of caring for them and preparing their meals to playing with them and helping with teaching . I interact with children on a level where I am their teacher and introduce them to new things.I am nurturing and loving. I take them to classes where I was a participant. I have helped with homework and been involved with their schools and take them to doctor appointments. I was in charge of the household and managing it day to day. I have always been the extra pair of eyes and ears and hands that the parents have needed.

I have also done work in the cooking field but it doesn’t have as many rewards as does childcare. It gives me so much gratification to care for a child as you are able to see the way they look at the world. You are able to be a part of that first smile or first time they crawl or take their first step. You are there to hear that first word. You see their face light up when they finally understand that math problem that they have been struggling with for so long. It is a job with daily rewards and it is so thrilling to know that I am a part of it and even assisted with the child completing that task and learning something new. It is rewarding to know that in some way I have helped in their future contribution to society.

I love to do things with children whether it is simply reading a book or having a book read to me by the child. Playing in the park or venturing out to a museum and marveling at a world famous piece of art has its own joys. New York City has so much to offer and it is a pleasure to share it with a child.

I have also had some of the children I have cared for come to my home and stay overnight. With one family, we went away on our own for a few days. I love doing things with children and I feel the world is our oyster, so lets get that pearl and marvel at its beauty

I am a very hard-working nanny. I take great pride in what I do. I am a team player. I follow directions. I like there to be constant communication between the parents and the nanny. I am very punctual. I am very flexible. I believe in children having manners so I mind my manners so they can learn from what they see. I feel that I am a good nanny and have a lot to offer a child and their family.
