Bonjour! My name is Valerie! I am 25 years old and a graduate from Baldwin-Wallace College with a degree in Marketing and French. I am an energetic, fun-loving, outgoing, responsible girl that has a passion for children. I really like playing board games with the kids, being outside and using our imaginations, teaching the children new tasks, and being creative.

My most recent experience includes nannying for a family with 3 children ages newborn, 2 and 6. Main responsibilities: get ready for school, supervise showering, prepare meals, drop and pick up at school, get ready for bed, change diaper and potty train.  

Past Work Experiences:

I began babysitting when I was about 12 years old. I first started with my 2 younger brothers. This experience was a little different than most babysitting jobs because my brothers are both special needs. My one brother is diabetic while the other is autistic. I had to monitor them closely and make sure that they were safe and did not need any medical attention.

My next babysitting experience was when I watched an autistic boy at his Temple services. He was a mover and a shaker!! He would run up and down at his Temple and it was my job to follow him and make sure he was safe. It really gave me a better understanding of watching children with special needs. He had a different personality from my brother and I had to adapt to his needs.

Another babysitting experience I had was for a 10 month old baby. His mother worked night hours at a hospital and I would go over her house when she came home in the morning and watch her son while she slept and ran errands. I was in charge of feeding, nap time, and playing.

I was a mother's helper for a mom and her 7 kids (she had another child on the way!!) I played with them, fed them, taught them basic skills, and helped the mother with tasks.
