Hey! My name is Molly Blanchard and I started my first year of college at Portland State in the fall, though I'm not currently taking any classes because I decided I just need a break after 12 years of school! I love working with children and I absolutely adore babies so I figured nannying would be a great way to gain more experience with kids while I have free time. I have about six years of experience working with ages six months to six years. This experience has come from church, volunteering, and friends/family. I technically don't have any certified/paid experience but I love children and one of my goals in life is to be a mommy some day! Educationally speaking, my goal is to be either an Ob/Gyn or Neonatologist, so my life is kind of centered around babies and young children. A little bit about myself: I love to shop, it definitely is my all time favorite sport! I also enjoy going to the park and swinging on the swings! In addition, I like to sing, dance, act, read, and swim. I am a Christian, I don't smoke or drink, and I'm loving, caring, and kind to everyone. I like to stay busy and go out and do things. I'm CPR/First Aid certified for both infants and adults, I have an Oregon Food Handler's Card, and I'm registered with the Oregon Criminal History Registry (this is a requirement for working in a certifed child care facility.) I can change a diaper, warm a bottle of milk, and put a child to sleep. If discipline is necessary, I am able to be firm, but soft-spoken, and I try to redirect and then turn to time outs if needed.
