Hello, my name is Elisa and I currently work as a nanny for 10 and 4 year old sisters. I have also worked in day cares with children as young as 3 months of age, and I am confident with any age group. I am a Junior at Portland State University studying Community Health and am in the pre-Naturopathic program. After graduation, I plan to attend the National College of Natural Medicine here in Portland. I am hard working, caring, and responsible. I love working with kids and have an energetic, optimistic personality. My care taking methods are to let the children be independant and active participants, rather than passive recipients of care.
I'm experienced with the RIE approach and Regio Emilia. I would like to encourage a healthy diet and fun excercise. I enjoy reading with children and can develop some sort of tutoring plan if I'm asked to. My favorite things to do with children are: color, read, paint, crafts, go on walks, and be outside and active.
