Hey there, thanks for taking the time to view my profile. If you are looking for a reliable nanny or babysitter (that you can call any time, day or night), then I am the girl for you. I have been babysitting and being a nanny since I was a kid, starting from the children around the block and then being a nanny to my own little brother. From when he was born, I was the one who had full responsibility of changing diapers, feeding and bathing him, and during the years that went by I helped him learn to count, read, write, play piano, and also play sports. He is seven years old now, and one of the best baseball players on his All Star Team, and ahead of his class in reading and writing. Not to mention, that he loves music and is pretty great on piano.

I take joy in teaching children, and learning from them. I believe that children are quickly drawn to my energetic personality, but can also understand that it is not always play time and to listen to my instructions. I love to play and teach, I love to be creative with children, and even bring a few fun musical instruments with me and teach them a song. I can teach beginning piano, as well as ukulele and percussion. I am also quite handy with arts and crafts and know plenty of fun activities that we can do at home, while learning valuable skills.

Currently I am studying Marine Biology, but have my first degree in photography. I very much enjoy learning as much as possible and right now am taking many psychology courses, starting with Human Development. My schooling has taught me patience and understanding of human beings, and mostly children. What can I say; I’m a regular bookworm! I can’t wait to be able to pass my knowledge on to whoever will let me, and for me, teaching children is one of the most wonderful and rewarding experiences. I currently work for a lovely family who has my Monday through Thursday from around 3:00pm until 7:30pm, but am available morning hours, late nights and weekends. :]

I have reliable transportation and am also skilled in caring for animals, cleaning, cooking (healthy meals), and even house sitting. Basically, if you throw it my way I can handle it with grace and ease. Most of all I am looking for the right family and the right children to begin a great relationship and an awesome learning experience. I am a recent transplant here in Portland and very much look forward to learning the city even more, becoming part of the community, and being able to help and meet new people.
