I have been homeschooling my own children for 7 yrs (they are teenagers now) & am happy to encourage reading or any other fun activity as you see fit. I do love animals, as well. I have experience w/food allergies. My own family does not eat glutem or dairy. I occasionally care for a family w/tree nut allergies. I would be a valued asset to your family.
