I prefer to watch kids in my own home. I have a spacious, clean, pet-free, smoke-free, child friendly modular home with a large yard and a fenced play area for the little ones. Being in my home allows me to have an open schedule and be available at any time.
I have spent many years baby-sitting for friends and family. All different ages. I grew up in Illinois, which is where most of the children still live. My husband and I have spent lots of time with our nieces and nephews before moving to Tennessee in 2004. We would often have a houseful on our days off, sometimes up to 12 kids at a time.
