Although I have not worked as a full-time Nanny before, I have worked in positions that are very beneficial to the skills of a Nanny. I was employed as a preschool teacher in a private christian preschool. The class that I taught were 3 year olds that turned 4 during the year. I also worked there after preschool hours in the daycare area. 

I have an Associate's degree in Special Education. I also have extensive experience with my own children. We previously homeschooled our children so I have experience with developmental activities, hands on educational activities, homeschooling as well as preparing children for school. I also have been involved in the school environment throughout my education and I am qualified to help with schoolwork as well as advocate for the child in a school environment and communicate with the child's teacher. 

In addition to this experience, my personal experience with special needs on a full-time basis is a huge asset. I have experience with blood sugar monitoring, injections, medications, tube feedings, developmental delays, autism, Down Syndrome, genetic disorders and diseases, dietary restrictions and allergies, asthma and breathing treatments, behavior modification as well as others that I will reveal if someone asks. That experience has enabled me to be comfortable in a crisis situation and comfortably administer anything that is needed for the child's well-being.
