My name is Kasey LaRaine, I am 21 years old and have a wonderful son who is 2. My son, Kevin does have to come with me to most of my jobs as the father left us while I was pregnant. With a few days notice I can be available any hours you need. All of my obligations will never interfere and are completely flexible.

Most of my babysitting/nannying experience is with kids from newborn to 7years old but I also have experience with basically all ages. And when my mother became disabled (I was 11) I helped raise my little brother from age 3 to his age now 14 and he is one good kid. But I have been doing professional babysitting since I was 16.

The mother I use as my reference has a little boy that I have been watching for years and now a baby girl. She is always so pleased with how well behaved he is when I am there. I am very patient and therefore I am good at staying calm through his often temper tantrums and ultimately calming him down to end them quickly.

I believe in talking to children like they are people because they are. When I say no, I explain to them why I have said no and it usually makes it easier for them to understand and deal with hearing the word. If they do something they shouldn’t do I let them know they shouldn’t do it and I let them know that if it happens again, going to timeout will be the consequence. I do not believe in physical punishment, I prefer time out because it gives both the child and the adult time to calm down and prevents hasty decisions that someone may regret later.

I am CPR and First Aid certified via life guarding for 3 years and I also received my EMT certification via the military.

I am a good cook, I do most of the cooking for my family and will not mind at all cooking for the kids. What ever they like to eat I can make it (or I will learn:-).

I do not have a problem with doing light housework and I believe in cleaning up messes before they become a mess. I’ve learned over the years that it is easier that way.

I taught my son sign language for early communication when he was a baby and we could definitely teach you and your babies the basics as well if that would be something you are interested in. It takes a lot of the guess work out of those first couple of years and therefore prevents a lot of frustration.
