Hi. I have many years of unpaid childcare experience…helping out friends and family. But I also had an in-home childcare for 12 years. The only reason I stopped doing this was because we moved into an apartment and no longer had the space to accommodate this. Most of the children started with me at about three months old, and stayed with me until they entered kindergarten. I have many references and I am infant through adult CPR and first aid certified. During those 12 years I kept the number of children at five, for more individual attention. I always had five, and they were full-time. We danced to silly songs, did crafts, baked, loved being outside, and just enjoy being kids. I am a loving, creative, and trustworthy person. I have always had a big heart for children, and all people really. I would love to meet you and see if you feel like I am a great fit for you and your family. 😊

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our childcare experience. From the very beginning, it was clear that our daughter was loved, cared for, and treated like family! Kris is reliable, trustworthy, and attentive, giving us complete peace of mind while we were at work. More importantly, she genuinely cared for the children in her care and created a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where they could thrive. Our daughter adored “Ms. Krissy” and looked forward to every day she spent there. As a parent, there is peace of mind knowing your child feels happy, secure, and loved when you are away. If you are looking for someone who is kind, patient, dependable, and truly gifted with children, we would wholeheartedly recommend Kris! We will always be grateful for the love and care she showed our family during such an important season of our daughter's life. My daughter’s review was: 1,000/10! ⭐️ ?

Having a degree in early childhood, for the past twenty years, I have watched infants, toddlers, older children and twins. I find it rewarding to be involved in the toddler years with all the major learning and natural curiosity present during that age. In my previous childcare positions, the child and I have enjoyed visits to the library, park, and daily neighborhood walks. Walks always provide fun opportunities for observation of nature, squirrels, flowers, and outside activities. Keeping schedules and familiar routines has been a priority for me in working with young children. I believe it gives them a healthy sense of expectation and promotes security throughout their day. My past experience and knowledge of infants is an asset. I have cared for several children since birth and even have been called a “baby whisperer” due to my ability to identify their unspoken needs. I was also the “lead teacher” in the birth-to-crawlers nursery every Sunday at a church for several years. Infants are like little sponges picking up new surroundings in their world. I have watched several infants as well as being their first official nanny. I enjoy being an "observer" as they experience their first smiles, tastes, steps and new initial skills. I truly enjoy all children and as they grow, they grow on me!

I am so happy to recommend Linda (aka. Mrs. G). She has been a wonderful nanny for our 4 yr old daughter for the last year. She is absolutely reliable. I never had to worry about her being on time to pick up my daughter. She showed lots of creativity, fun and energy, playing games, doing crafts projects, working on puzzles, among lots of others. She went on walks, outings to the pool or to Lewis Ginter Garden. Our daughter had fun and was happy and looked after when I got home. One of the best things about working with Mrs. G is that she is just a great person. She is thoughtful and kind. She focuses on doing good deeds and is a wonderful role model. The only reason we are making a change at this point (because Mrs. G has been wonderful and I am sad to make a change) is that my mother and mother-in-law are taking over the responsibility of watching Isabella. Really, I cannot speak highly enough about Mrs. G. She is great! Please feel free to contact me if needed.

I became a caregiver because I'm passionate about the growth and development of children. I believe in the importance of play and learning, and I strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where kids can thrive. I'm patient, calm, and creative, and I love playing outdoor sports, board games, and educational games with children. I'm working on getting my CPR certification renewed, I was certified in high school I still do know how to do CPR. I follow the parents' lead when it comes to enforcing household rules. I believe in open communication with parents, and I provide regular updates on their child's day. I'm confident that I can provide a reliable and supportive child care option for families.
