Hi! My name is Shannon. I'm 21 years old and I love working with children. I've been working with younger children (12 and under) since I was 12. Experiences include, Church nursery and sunday school, babysitting, Mothers of Preschoolers program, Nannying, teaching beginner piano lesson. I'm also currently serving as a leader in my church youth group (jr. high-high school age).
I am the middle of 3 children. I was homeschooled until 11th grade when I started Running Start at the local Community College. I graduated in 2006 with my High School Diploma and my AA in Early Childhood Education. I was born and raised in Chehalis, WA. My family is relatively small, but I have many friend with large families (my best friend of 10+ years has 10 siblings), so I am comfortable around few or many children.
I have strong Christian believes and morals. I do not require that the family be Christians, but think it fair that you know I am.
I'm currently attending school at CWU-Des Moines (located on Highline Community College campus). I'm in the BA program, double majoring in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. I am in the evening cohort so I have all evening classes (except for summer quarter).
