My name is Jennie. I am a 26 year old nanny working full time in Downtown Seattle. I currently care for two boys (2 and 4 years old) and have worked with children of all ages from infants to teens. I am the second eldest of eight children and spent a good amount of time raising my younger siblings and doing housework growing up, as both my parents worked. I have no problem with house keeping, diaper changing, laundry, and feeding. I can help with homework for older children. I love being active with kids- going on walks, doing art projects, and engaging in other play activities that teach daily living skills and personal interaction. I believe that children should be engaged at every age in a way that helps them grow and meets their interests. I do not merely watch children play. I get involved and join them. I do not use TV or computers to babysit children. I read to them, plan activities, help with homework and join them on their adventures. I like to keep kids active, when possible. I feel that giving them patient and caring encouragement and loving guidance are the best ways to help them grow.
I also love animals! I have a 3 year old pug/min-pin mix and 2 guinea pigs. I grew up on a farm and had the opportunity to care for all types of animals. I am allergic to cats, however, I don't tend to have problems unless they touch my bare skin. I love to play with animals and involve them with the children I care for, so if you have pets, great!
I am currently looking to supplement my income by taking on a babysitting job here and there. I also am looking to the future, as my current employer will be transferred to another Coast Guard location soon, and I will need to find full time work. I am comfortable with all cultures and age groups. I have experience with multiple children as well as special needs. I have also worked extensively with infants. I can cook, clean, walk dogs, help with homework, read stories...and pretty much anything else you would want a nanny/sitter to do for and with your children!
I currently work full time (7-5, M-F). I am available for evening babysitting during the week (from 5:30-10), overnights (within close proximity to my day job in Madison Valley), weekend day outings and date nights.
I am currently Red Cross certified for CPR/AED/First Aid for adults, children and infants. I enjoy cooking foods of all kinds including vegan foods and for children with food sensitivities (as I have several sensitivities of my own). I have passed a state/DSHS background check (twice) as well as a background check conducted by <WEBSITE> I have passed aTB test and a UA drug test. I do not smoke or drink or partake of any elicit substances.
Please respond if you feel I would be a good fit for your family. I welcome the opportunity to meet you! You can reach me via email at xxxx@xxxx.xxx or via phone at xxx-xxx-xxxx. References will happily be given upon request.
