My Journey as a professional childcare provider started in 1992 when I decided to take a year off from college and go to Boston to nanny for a family.  At the time, I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do "with my life".  After working for the Maye family, I discovered that I had a natural gift with children.  I found these "little people" interesting, funny, and incredibly sweet.  I discovered how fun it is to watch them grow and see their personalities take shape.  And I relished the challenge and responsibilities and trust that came with the job.  My one year trip to Boston turned into six.  I worked for two wonderful families and helped care for three adorable children who are now grown and starting their own lives in the real world.  I still keep in touch with both families.

I have dabbled in other careers, including helping my brother with his business, but my true passion remains caring for children.  I have experience with newborn to 8 years.  I currently take care of four year old twins, and I volunteer as a big sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of King County.  I've had some training in early child development, and hope to take some classes this fall.  I am patient, caring, and fun-loving.  I am great at engaging children and coming up with age appropriate activities, and I don't mind getting down on the floor to play with trucks or legos, or build forts.  I am reliable, honest and have solid communcation skills.
