At thirty- three I have had the real privilege to work with children of all ages - new born, toddlers, school age, teen and preteens, special needs kids and some very intelligent and above average.  Much of this has come through my paid positions, but it is also due to my background as the oldest of eight children in my own family along with the 13 foster babies that came through our home.  This has also given me experience in tutoring grades K - 7th.

My childcare style is usually a good balance between structured and easy going.  Enough focused involment to keep things exciting and stimulating, but relaxed enough to let a child learn and experience life at his or her own pace.  Every activity is a chance to learn - bubbles, play dough, puzzles, bike rides, cooking projects, side walk chalk, art projects, learning games, swimming, trips to the park, tossing a ball around out side (any chance to get outside :-) ect .  One of my great loves is children’s literature and I truly enjoy sharing this with the kids I watch.  I'm also a very good cook, and open to any house keeping duties the right position might require. 
I really appreciate clear expectations, communication and respect between parents and myself, making a pleasant relationship for both of us.
