18+ years experience in pet care. My husband and I have fostered and placed rescue dogs as well as worked in a kennel and shelter. During my work there I picked up on a lot of the things that make dogs stressful during their stays in kennels. By and large being locked in a contained area for 20 hours out of the day and listening to 25 other dogs barking and crying is extremely hard on a dog. We decided our own dogs were not going to be kenneled ever again, and neither should yours! We keep our rates as low as the kennels, despite offering more extensive supervision, playtime and affection than is possible in a kennel.

We are true animal lovers and keep our commitments small so we can bond with our furry clientele. We will board for 1-2 families at a time max, up to 4 dogs. We are not in this business to get rich. We truly do it for the love of the animals. In fact, a portion of the proceeds goes back into animal causes.

We have a stair free dog run, with grass and decking for soaking up the sun. We are fully equipped with sleeping areas up to size extra large and will allow the pet to sleep uncrated if the owner desires provided there are no safety barriers. Our goal is to make the stay as stress free as possible, so your pet can relax and pick up valued socialization skills. For the most part they will have the run of our very doggy proofed home, complete with cupboard latches and gates. If for some reason there is a conflict among personalities we can safely split the dogs up while still maintaining their freedom and sense of well being.

We encourage walks to be booked during their stays, but even without a walk your pet will have plenty of playtime and exercise, all day, because they will not be locked away in doggy jail. We know you worry about your fur-baby, so we send daily email photos so you can see how they are doing. You are also free to call anytime you have a question or concern, 24/7! If you wish to have grooming done while you are away I can shuttle them to and from your groomer for a small fee. Unlike a kennel we will not charge for administering medications, shuttling to daycare or washing toys/bedding in case of an accident. In fact, I have a background in healthcare and have given important medications to humans as well as animals, and have taken both CPR and animal first aid classes. Special needs animals can be accomodated as well.
