I absolutely adore my two dogs. They are part of my family! As my husband says "I think they are part human". I also have dealt in past years with pet birds. I owned my last two birds up until 2007, They are still residing at my parents home. I married and my husband owns a business and works nights so sleeps during the day. The noise was disturbing his sleep.
Currently we own two dogs Buster and Lola, I can be around certain breeds of dogs but others cause allergies. It just depends on the type of dog you own.
I am allergic to cats so cannot be in a persons home for long if they are cat owners. I am a homemaker and have two grown daughters so I have lots of spare time for extra activities.

I have two dogs. I have had one since he was a puppy. The other I adopted in 2009 from a shelter. She was a dog rescued from a puppy mill.
10 Years as a Owner
At one time I had 8 various types of birds.. i was well known as the "Bird lady". The types I have owned are Myers parrot, Quaker parrot, love birds, cockatiels (i also bred their chicks) and parakeets.
