My family has had two Golden Retrievers for 16 years. One was obese and that lead to arthritis, but he was wonderful. He started as a special needs dog and we received him as soon as he retired. As soon as I moved out I missed having a dog around so I bought a puppy pug. My pug is now 5 months old and (despite what people think about pugs' appearances) he is Adorable! I had to housetrain him and right now he is at the chewing stage. He gets along really well with my roommate's German Sheperd.
