We all know that the recipe for a happy, healthy dog includes proper care and nutrition, a warm, safe home and lots of love. In addition to those important ingredients, a truly great companion dog needs proper socialization and exercise. I wanted to start pet sitting for other dog owners when it became unbearable to leave my puppy, Hershey, at home by himself while I went to work. Hershey went through separation anxiety when I left (which is understandable because dogs run in packs and howl when their lonely) but I hated leaving him. I like to have a maximum of 3-4 dogs together for all day sitting but can easily schedule up to 16 client visits a day (depending on length of each visit).
