My family and I have owned dogs since I was three years old (I am now 23 years old!)  I grew up with a Golden Retriever, and we added to our family with a dachsund ten years later.  A couple of years later, a pregnant cat showed up at our door, which eventually led to us caring for her and six kittens.  We kept the mother and one of her kittens, who later gave birth to three more kittens.  Again, we kept one, so we then owned three cats and two dogs.  Today, only one cat remains from that clan.  Last summer, we found a dachsund rescue league that gave us the dachsund we own today, "Chase Muttley."  We also gave my sister a dachsund from the same rescue league.  I have become quite an animal lover, and I would be happy to care for other people's pets.
