Hello! I am a student at Texas State University in San Marcos, currently pursuing a BS in Geography. I have always been a pet lover, and have had animals by my side since I was a baby. I am an adventurous person, and really enjoy being outside in nature and sunshine. One of my favorite things to do is to take my dog Neo on adventures to the greenbelt around Austin, where we both can be free to enjoy what mother nature has to offer. Aside from having a dog (pit bull), I also have 2 cats, a bird, 2 snakes and an iguana. My roommate also has a dog (dachshund), so I am very familiar with caring for a variety of pets and breeds.

I am very compassionate and caring to all walks of life. I feel like every creature should be treated with nothing but love and kindness. I certainly have a soft spot for animals; Every time I see one I just can't help but say hello and give a little love/attention. My pets are my children, they are surrounded with constant TLC, sometimes more than they ask for (my cat only allows attention when SHE wants it).

I used to volunteer at Town Lake Animal Shelter in Austin, Texas. I worked mostly with dogs, taking them out of the kennel on walks and potty breaks. I would take one at a time, so that each one of them had their exclusive TLC time. When walking, I encouraged good doggy manners and would help teach them basic tricks in exchange for yummy treats. Sometimes they would get the opportunity to socialize and play with other dogs if they behaved well.

I also recently went to live in Colorado for about a month over the summertime. When I was there, I got to opportunity to volunteer at a Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. I chose to work with mammals, so I was mainly helping out the raccoon area. Most of the work I did there consisted of cleaning up ALOT, because you don't even know how messy raccoons can be. But the highlight of my experience there was bottle feeding baby raccoons and squirrels. :)

Aside from having my own animals and volunteering at a shelter, much of my pet sitting/dog walking experience comes from helping out friends when they are busy or out of town.
