I was a live in nanny for approx. 6 yrs. before I became a dogsitter. When I started the little boy was 3 yrs. and the litle girl had just turned one. This was after I had raised two children of my own. Also a boy and a girl. What a wonderful handful they all were. My first petsitting job was for a 14 year old boxer who was diagnosed with a brain tumor that caused disorientation and seizures. My job was simply to administer medication, prevent injury during seizures, and give lots of love and compassion. He had to be euthanized last year when the medication no longer helped with the seizures. Loved him like my own. Now I own two cats, who have become my children. I have been blessed by the love children and animals give so freely.
