Sittercity.com Earns an International Creative Award
Sittercity.com is a Silver winner of the 2007 International Davey Awards, which honors the outstanding creative work from the best small firms worldwide.
The Davey is the first important awards competition exclusively for the "Davids" of creativity.
David defeated the giant Goliath with a big idea and a little rock -- the sort of thing small firms do each year. The annual International Davey Awards honors the achievements of the "Creative Davids" who derive their strength from big ideas, rather than stratospheric budgets.
The Davey is judged and overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invite-only, member-based organization dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media. (Current members range from Sotheby's and Yahoo! to Coach and the Ellen Degeneres Show.)
Sittercity won a Davey -- custom-produced by the same firm that makes the Golden Globe Awards -- for its creative "Get a Life" media kit, complete with a Sittercity martini glass and "recipe" of story ideas.
