After Catherine Cabanela of Moorhead had her twins, she found having a standing arrangement with a baby sitter saved her sanity, and maybe even her marriage.

"I'm a happier wife knowing that Friday night I get my husband all to myself for four to five whole hours when the baby sitter is there,” she wrote in an article for a newsletter aimed at moms of multiples that encouraged moms -- especially those with multiples -- to hire some extra help occasionally.

No parent will deny the need for a little kid-free time. But finding that sitter can often be the most difficult part of the arrangement, especially if family members aren't an option.

A recent television commercial illustrated this, as a mom reluctantly handed over the phone number of her regular sitter to a friend in exchange for free airline tickets.

But there are sitters out there -- no bribery needed -- if you know where to look...
