The Chicago area more than held its own in the annual iconic list for entrepreneurs and small businesses with 23 (mostly technology-oriented) companies among the top 500. Online logistics and transportation procurement service Echo Global Logistics, satellite radio retailer TSS-Radio and online caregiver community Sittercity were among the Chicago-based companies that made the list.
