Genevieve Thiers, founder and CEO of Sittercity.com, was interviewed on WOR Radio, New York's oldest, privately-owned and continuously-operated radio station. As the top talk radio station in the country, it has continually made history with its award-winning broadcasts and remotes. Genevieve was invited to talk about Sittercity's recent partnership with Mom Corps . The main discussion was on the natural fit between the two organizations - While Mom Corps works to provide working parents with flexible, professional job opportunities that help them maintain life/work balance, Sittercity.com in turn provides working parents with the largest and most trusted online resource for finding caregivers - hundreds of thousands of registered babysitters, housekeepers, pet sitters, senior care providers, and tutors included.

Genevieve illustrated the need for this partnership by pointing out that in today's economy, Americans have had to change their definition of what it truly means to be a "working family." Sixty-two percent of households are run by two working parents with children under 18, and 25 percent of working adults are taking on senior care responsibilities as well. More than ever, these families need support, flexibility, and balance between their personal and professional lives. Through the collaboration - the first of its kind - Mom Corps and Sittercity will help to bring thousands of family-friendly jobs and hundreds of thousands of caregivers to today's job-seeking moms.
