Tuesday, February 19, 2008FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Chicago, Ill.) - The nation's largest and most trusted online source for caregivers, Sittercity.com, announced today that it acquired the assets of online babysitting source Callforsitters.com. Sittercity.com and Callforsitters.com have been two pivotal sites in growing the online caregiving industry, which Sittercity.com initiated in 2001. Last week, Sittercity solidified a deal with Callforsitters.com that included the sale of all their major domains and assets.
"We're thrilled to be adding Callforsitters.com to the Sittercity.com family," said Genevieve Thiers, Founder and CEO of Sittercity.com. "Callforsitters.com has had a large impact on the online caregiver industry and we're excited to continue to expand this field with them."
"I'm excited that Callforsitters.com will be joining Sittercity.com in the online care arena. After years of helping parents find their perfect babysitters, it's great knowing Sittercity will continue providing this exceptional service for parents in need," stated Callforsitters.com founder Wei Yang. "It's been the mission of Callforsitters.com to connect parents with babysitters online, and it will be exciting to see Sittercity.com take these services to the next level in the years to come."
In addition to being the inventor of online caregiving, Sittercity also boasts the largest user base in the online care world -- far exceeding their existing competitors -- and is well-known for its innovative approach and savvy technological advances in the online care arena.
